Women's Work, Interactive Workshop

Parents and children are welcome to join us in making embroidery and weaving projects as they reflect on the work in the exhibition. This event is free and open to children of all ages.

This art exhibition features the work of eleven local women, all mothers, who have been meeting over the past few months to explore fiber arts together as part of a cross cultural collaboration. The installation tells the story of our shared histories, or relationships to our own mothers and children, our identities as artists, and our connection to our community.

This project was made possible (in part) by the Queens Council on the Arts with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council
